Vulnerability Management Lead (Cybersecurity)

Location: 100% Remote (Must be based in the US to support NIH Federal activities)

What you will do

• Lead the enterprise Vulnerability Management and Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM) program.
• Direct vulnerability scanning across infrastructure, cloud, endpoints, network devices, and applications.
• Establish prioritization strategies using exploitability, mission impact, KEVs, and threat intelligence.
• Coordinate remediation activities across system owners, engineering teams, and ISSOs.
• Develop executive metrics, dashboards, and reports describing enterprise vulnerability posture and risk trends.
• Collaborate with penetration testing and incident response teams to validate exploitable attack paths.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience leading enterprise vulnerability management or cybersecurity operations programs.
• Experience supporting Federal cybersecurity programs operating under FISMA and the NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF).
• Strong understanding of CVSS, Known Exploited Vulnerabilities (KEVs), and attack surface management.
• Proven experience developing executive reporting and cybersecurity performance metrics.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting NIH, HHS, or other Federal civilian agencies.
• Proficiency with enterprise platforms such as Tenable, Qualys, or Rapid7.
• Familiarity with cloud security and Zero Trust initiatives.
• Relevant certifications: CISSP, GCVA, CySA+, GMON, CGRC, Security+, or CEH.
