About the Role
We're looking for a Financial Data Analyst to join our IT team and support the day-to-day operation of our financial data warehouse built on Microsoft Fabric. You'll work closely with both the IT and Finance teams — maintaining data pipelines, ensuring data quality, supporting period close, and helping improve how the two departments work together.
 
This is a hands-on role focused on data operations and financial reporting. You'll manage data pipelines, validate financial data, maintain account mappings, and serve as the go-to person for the Finance team's data-related questions. Experience with AI tools like ChatGPT or Claude for productivity is a plus.
 
What You'll Do
 
DWH Operations & Financial Data
•       Operate and monitor financial data pipelines in Microsoft Fabric — daily checks, troubleshooting, refreshing
•       Validate data quality at each period close: completeness across all entities, mapping accuracy, reconciliation with source systems
•       Maintain and update account mapping files (GL accounts, projects, cost centers) in coordination with the Finance team
•       Manage SSAS model refreshes on Azure Analysis Services for Excel and Power BI users
•       Onboard new country entities into the DWH by replicating existing pipeline patterns
•       Support the budget cycle: template preparation, data loading, model updates
 
Finance Liaison
•       Serve as the primary IT contact for the Finance team on all data-related questions
•       Handle ad-hoc data requests: extracts, reconciliation checks, report adjustments
•       Understand and work with standard financial reports: Profit & Loss (P&L), Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow
•       Support Finance during period close — validate data in real time, fix mapping issues, ensure models are refreshed promptly
•       Establish regular communication with Finance to track open requests and upcoming needs
 
AI & Productivity Tools
•       Use AI assistants (ChatGPT, Claude) to improve personal productivity — writing queries, analyzing data, drafting documentation, troubleshooting issues faster
 
Must Have
•       SQL — confident working level (queries, data validation, joins, aggregations)
•       Power BI / DAX measures knowing
•       SSAS models / Tabular models
•       Understanding of financial reports: P&L, Balance Sheet — you should know what these reports show and how the numbers connect
•       Strong attention to detail — this role exists to catch data errors before they reach reports
•       English, Russian
