Senior Fluids Manufacturing Engineer (Aerospace)

Location: Los Angeles, CA, United States. The role involves access to ITAR-controlled information and requires U.S. person status or eligibility for a federally issued export control license.

Salary: $140,000–$175,000 annually, plus company equity.

What you will do

• Establish the manufacturing work center for hirify.global’s first Pumped Fluid Loop, including fluid component creation, assembly, and testing.
• Lead design-for-manufacturability efforts with design engineering teams to optimize cost, quality, scalability, and integration risk.
• Develop manufacturing plans, build flows, tooling, and fixtures for satellite fluid systems.
• Deploy advanced manufacturing technologies and automation concepts to support increasing production rates.
• Partner with engineers and technicians to disposition nonconformances and evaluate corrective actions.
• Develop capacity models and rate-ramp strategies while serving as the manufacturing point of contact for system fill, proof, and leak activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, aerospace, mechanical, computer, or another engineering discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering.
• Experience creating, improving, and retiring production processes and workflows, including work with CAD software and models.
• Experience qualifying components and assemblies through vibration and thermal testing.
• Experience assembling fluid systems and applying leak-testing methods.
• Experience working in a cleanroom with ESD-sensitive equipment and creating GSE, tooling, or fixtures for manufacturing operations.

Nice to have

• Experience in testing or automation.
• Proficiency in Python or Rust.
• Experience with functional testing of fluid components such as pumps and accumulators.
• Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and multitasking skills.
