Focus on developing scene-generation tools, resolving software integration issues, and improving model quality and system performance.

What you will do

  • Design, develop, and validate high-fidelity physics-based 3D radiometric synthetic models for tactical, strategic, and surveillance environments.
  • Integrate scene-generation software into real-time hardware-in-the-loop laboratories and resolve software and integration issues.
  • Develop tools for model development, integration, analysis, visualization, and user interfaces.
  • Review peer software and provide technical feedback and guidance.
  • Mentor junior software engineers and promote software engineering best practices.
  • Identify opportunities to improve software quality, development efficiency, and system performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, computer science, software engineering, or a related technical discipline.
  • Educational experience with object-oriented software design, Linux application development, and Git or another version control system.
  • Experience with software testing methodologies and debugging tools.
  • Strong analytical, communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to obtain or maintain required security clearances for classified programs.
  • Must provide documentation verifying U.S. person status under ITAR/EAR requirements; some programs require current U.S. citizenship.

Nice to have

  • At least three years of progressively responsible software engineering experience.
  • Existing Secret or Top Secret security clearance.
  • Experience with C++, OpenGL, CUDA, or Python.
  • Graphical programming and physics-based rendering experience.
  • Knowledge of radiometry, electromagnetic energy reflection, and Department of Defense development environments.
