Software Engineer (Java/React)

Location: Singapore; hybrid work with at least 3 days in the office.

What you will do

• Develop, modify, and review maintainable code across front-end, back-end, and data layers for the hirify.global Client Product Test Tool.
• Design and implement web application features using Java, Spring Boot, React, and reusable services and components.
• Integrate systems through APIs, messaging queues, and databases, and develop data pipelines and large-scale processing jobs.
• Create automated unit, integration, and end-to-end tests while maintaining CI and CI/CD pipelines.
• Deploy and monitor applications using containers, orchestration, cloud services, and observability tools.
• Debug incidents, perform root cause analysis, optimize performance and cost, and apply secure coding practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or 3+ years of relevant work experience.
• 1–2 years of experience in Java/J2EE web application development with React UI/UX experience.
• Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming and the software development life cycle.
• Experience with Java 17+, Spring Boot, Hibernate, MySQL, microservices, Kubernetes, and AWS.
• Experience with APIs, messaging queues, databases, automated testing, CI/CD, deployment, debugging, and secure coding.
• Ability to work independently, communicate effectively, and collaborate with global developers, subject matter experts, architects, and cross-functional teams.
