TL;DR
Senior Quality Assurance Engineer (Fintech): Ensuring software quality through manual and automated testing in an Agile environment with an accent on test strategy creation, defect management, and financial messaging systems. Focus on implementing automation frameworks using Selenium and Java, managing complex stakeholder expectations, and validating SWIFT/ISO messaging.
Location: London, UK (8 days per month onsite – mandatory)

What you will do
- Develop and execute manual and automated test scenarios based on functional and technical documentation.
- Design and implement comprehensive test strategies and propose appropriate testing approaches.
- Manage the full defect lifecycle, including analysis and triage.
- Collaborate with cross-functional squads and both onshore and offshore teams.
- Report testing progress and manage expectations of key business and technical stakeholders.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute as a T-Shaped team member.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Quality Engineer within an Agile environment.
- Industry experience in Finance.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and automation tools including UFT, Selenium, and Java.
- Knowledge of CREST Application, Tandem messaging, Windows, UNIX, and SWIFT/ISO messaging.
- Proficiency with ALM and Azure DevOps.
- ISEB/ISTQB Foundation Certificate in Software Testing.
Nice to have
- Understanding of BDD/TDD principles.
- Experience with OpenShift, Kafka, and Playwright.
