Frontend Engineer (Fintech)

TL;DR

Frontend Engineer (React/TypeScript): Designing and implementing user interfaces for a market-leading digital checkout solution with an accent on high-performance web applications and embeddable elements. Focus on evolving a shared UI library, optimizing conversion rates, and ensuring the reliability of business-critical payment paths.

Location: Onsite in Stockholm (In-person collaboration at the Head Office is prioritized)

What you will do

• Ship features across checkout products, including the full checkout experience and embeddable elements library.
• Contribute to the Morpheus UI library and the shared design language.
• Evolve embeddable elements built on Web Components for diverse merchant storefronts.
• Ensure the performance, reliability, and observability of business-critical code paths.
• Champion best practices in testing, accessibility, and security across the team.
• Mentor other engineers, perform code reviews, and influence the technical frontend direction.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Deep expertise in modern JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Strong experience with the latest versions of React and its modern patterns.
• Proficiency with modern build setups, specifically Vite.
• Solid foundations in HTML, CSS, and creating responsive, accessible UIs.
• Experience with frontend testing (unit, integration, end-to-end) and API integration.

Nice to have

• Experience building Web Components or embeddable widgets and handling iframe/cross-origin patterns.
• Knowledge of localization for products operating across multiple markets.
• Background in payments or e-commerce domains.
• Interest in UX, A/B testing, and Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO).
• Experience with web performance optimization and Core Web Vitals.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
