Location: Hybrid in Sunnyvale, California, USA, with 2–3 days per week on-site. Additional background and fingerprint checks may be required for government customer requirements.

Salary: $120,000–$180,000 per year, plus potential bonuses, equity grants, health insurance, 401(k), and paid time off.

What you will do

• Design and implement scalable test automation frameworks for distributed cloud services and endpoint agent software.
• Develop test strategies for security-critical features, covering reliability, accuracy, performance, and large-scale workloads.
• Review technical designs for testability, security implications, and edge cases.
• Create cloud-based test infrastructure for deployment scenarios, agent-cloud interactions, APIs, and data-processing pipelines.
• Lead root-cause analysis of production issues and build regression tests.
• Mentor engineers on test automation and security-conscious testing practices.

Requirements

• 6+ years of combined SDET or backend development experience, including 3+ years building testing frameworks and tooling for cloud SaaS products.
• Strong computer science fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, and distributed systems.
• Expertise in at least one of Go, Python, Java, C++, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
• Experience with cloud architectures, microservices, REST, gRPC, Protocol Buffers, databases, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD.
• Experience testing in AWS, Azure, or GCP environments, debugging distributed systems, and using performance or monitoring tools.
• Proven use of AI technologies to improve decision-making, workflows, efficiency, and business outcomes.

Nice to have

• Experience testing security products, endpoint agents, or EDR solutions.
• Knowledge of endpoint security, threat detection, incident response, security operations, MITRE ATT&CK, or common vulnerabilities.
• Experience with Kafka, Storm, Spark, chaos engineering, resilience testing, or open-source security and testing tools.
• Track record of building developer-friendly testing frameworks.
