Development Head, RSV, RSV Combination, and Early Vaccine Programs (Vaccines)

Location: Hybrid role based in Pearl River, New York, requiring residence within commuting distance and on-site work an average of 2.5 days per week or more as needed. Candidates must have permanent U.S. work authorization; visa sponsorship is not available.

Salary: $330,200–$550,400 annual base salary, plus a 30% bonus target and eligibility for a share-based long-term incentive program.

What you will do

• Lead global clinical research programs for RSV, RSV combinations, and early vaccine candidates, including clinical development plans and registration activities.
• Oversee clinical project teams, establish priorities, resolve program issues, and coordinate cross-functional scientific and medical experts.
• Guide clinical trial design, implementation, monitoring, closeout, publication, and regulatory submission activities.
• Provide medical monitoring oversight, including serious adverse event review, safety communications, Data Monitoring Committee interaction, and inspection readiness.
• Develop resource and budget plans, support staffing decisions, and coach clinical scientists and medical monitors.
• Represent Vaccines Research and Development in regulatory, publication, audit, business development, and senior management activities.

Requirements

• Medical degree: M.D., D.O., or equivalent.
• 10+ years of pharmaceutical industry experience in clinical research programs and registration activities.
• End-to-end vaccine clinical development experience.
• Strong understanding of clinical program and study design, execution, global regulatory requirements, and registration strategy.
• Ability to evaluate scientific and medical information, develop innovative drug development concepts, and create strategies for small molecules and biologics.
• Demonstrated leadership, collaboration, mentoring, and influence in a highly matrixed environment.
