QC Technologist (Microbiology)

QC Technologist (Microbiology) (Microbiology and GMP): Performing microbiological testing, environmental monitoring, and laboratory quality activities to support the manufacture of life-changing therapies with an accent on product qualification, data integrity, and regulatory compliance. Focus on assessing results, identifying anomalies, qualifying media and methods, and maintaining precise laboratory standards in a highly controlled manufacturing environment.

Location: Fully site-based in Slough, UK. Monday to Friday, with one weekend shift required every three weeks.

What you will do

• Perform microbiological testing for product qualifications, routine testing, and environmental monitoring.
• Record and document results in accordance with GMP and cGMP requirements.
• Review data, identify anomalies, and escalate concerns to QC management.
• Maintain laboratory standards through housekeeping, equipment care, and inventory checks.
• Support media, reagent, and method qualification activities.
• Follow laboratory safety procedures and keep required GMP training up to date.

Requirements

• BSc in a life science discipline or equivalent practical experience.
• Hands-on experience with microbiological techniques.
• Understanding of good documentation practices.
• Ability to assess results, identify anomalies, and communicate concerns.
• Experience with routine laboratory maintenance and inventory control.
• Strong awareness of laboratory safety and GMP expectations.
