What you will do

• Develop and maintain embedded software for Debian-based industrial gateways.
• Architect end-to-end IoT solutions connecting wireless sensors, gateways, and cloud services.
• Build and improve fulfillment, onboarding, and device fleet management tools.
• Collaborate with product, data science, and cross-functional engineering teams to deliver scalable solutions.
• Review code, provide technical feedback, and mentor colleagues through design discussions.
• Solve connectivity and scalability challenges, including VPNs and data communication optimization.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of experience developing software for connected devices and industrial IoT products using embedded Linux.
• Professional experience with Python and Bash, plus at least one of C, C++, or Rust.
• Strong knowledge of the embedded Linux boot chain, including U-Boot, the kernel, and device trees.
• Experience building embedded Linux images with Yocto, Buildroot, pi-gen, debootstrap, or similar systems.
• Knowledge of serial, Ethernet, TCP, UDP, DHCP, ARP, IP, MQTT, and related embedded communication concepts.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a changing, cross-functional product environment.

Nice to have

• MSc-level technical education focused on embedded systems or industrial technology.
• Experience with EnOcean, BLE, Wi-Fi, or LTE.
• Knowledge of electronics design, over-the-air updates, secure boot, ARM TrustZone, or IoT system architecture.
