What you will do

• Architect scalable, event-driven AWS systems using SQS, MSK, Lambda, and EKS to support AIOps telemetry and automated remediation.
• Define reference architectures for streaming, lakehouse, and microservices patterns for high-volume network data.
• Design enterprise-grade data pipelines using S3, Glue, Redshift, and EMR optimized for scalability.
• Own the multi-AZ/multi-region strategy and disaster recovery for mission-critical platforms.
• Design and manage IAM, KMS, network segmentation, and VPC architecture across all AWS workloads.
• Embed DevSecOps practices, including security scanning and secrets management, into CI/CD pipelines.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in London or Bristol, UK
• 4+ years of experience designing complex data pipelines in AWS.
• 3+ years of experience in AWS security handling complex implementations.
• Proven expertise in distributed, event-driven systems and streaming/lakehouse architectures.
• Working knowledge of GDPR, ISO 27001, NIST, and Ofcom regulatory requirements.
• Experience with IaC security scanning tools (e.g., Checkov, tfsec) and secrets management.

Nice to have

• AWS Security Specialty, CISSP, or CCSP certifications.
