TL;DR

Java Developer ETF+ (Java/Kafka/AWS): Building and evolving ETF+ central platform capabilities for basket composition, order generation, execution management, exchange connectivity, and real-time position tracking with an accent on event-driven architecture, correctness, and resilience in a fast-paced trading environment. Focus on owning features end to end, improving architecture for AWS migration, and providing L2/L3 production support with on-call coverage until 17:00 ET.

Location: Remote or hybrid model; on-call support until 17:00 ET (NY). Eligible locations: Georgia, Poland, Serbia, Portugal, Spain.

What you will do

• Own ETF+ features end to end, from clarifying requirements with business users to production support.
• Develop and maintain Java services for the full front-office workflow: basket composition, order generation, execution management, exchange connectivity, and real-time position tracking.
• Work with event-driven architecture using Kafka (and/or other real-time messaging systems) and AMPS/MQ where applicable.
• Improve engineering discipline: code reviews, CI/CD, and ensuring tests run for every change.
• Drive architecture improvements, including rearchitecting the on-prem platform to run properly on AWS.
• Provide L2/L3 support and handle recovery mechanisms, exception management, and on-call coverage until 17:00 ET.

Requirements

• 8+ years of Java programming (Java Core + multithreading).
• Experience with Kafka and/or other real-time messaging systems.
• Experience with AWS/EKS.
• Experience and readiness to work with Python.
• Strong analytical ability to learn from code and perform reverse engineering.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate cross-functionally; on-call support until 17:00 ET (NY).
