What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain core components across distributed storage, compute, and service platforms.
• Build storage engines, query and compute execution layers, and RPC/networking infrastructure.
• Partner with research and engineering teams to translate performance requirements into technical designs.
• Investigate and resolve production issues, including correctness bugs and performance regressions.
• Participate in system design, code reviews, and the productionization of new features.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 2+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in modern C++ (C++11 or higher) and comfort with STL.
• Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and systems-level thinking (memory management, concurrency, I/O).
• Solid working knowledge of UNIX/Linux development environments.
• Experience using AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., Claude Code, OpenCode) to accelerate development.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in Python.
• Exposure to distributed systems concepts such as replication, sharding, and consensus.
• Experience with RPC frameworks or columnar/analytical storage formats.
