System Security Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Salary: $70,000 - $104,000 per year

What you will do

• Investigate, analyze, and design military weapons systems using engineering principles to develop technical analyses and reports.
• Identify weapon system critical program information (CPI) and determine the consequences of compromise.
• Develop protective architectures and advocate for contractual requirements in developmental programs.
• Coordinate with Joint and Department of Defense agencies to ensure horizontal protection requirements are met.
• Collaborate with the Navy Verification & Validation (V&V) team to assess system designs and solutions.
• Serve as a Technical Review Board (TRB) member providing specialized SSE expertise.

Requirements

• Must possess a current Top-Secret clearance with the ability to obtain/maintain Top-Secret/SCI.
• At least 3 years of recent experience in systems engineering, specifically System Security Engineering (SSE).
• Proven experience developing Program Protection Plans and associated artifacts.
• Experience developing and understanding aircraft network architectures.
• Strong knowledge of DoD systems acquisition life cycle and weapon systems.
• BA/BS degree in Aerospace, Electrical, Cyber Security, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a related scientific or technical discipline.
• Knowledge of model-based systems engineering (MBSE) and digital engineering transformations.
• Direct experience in AT systems engineering and DoD acquisitions.
