System Security Engineer (Cybersecurity): Supporting Naval Aviation acquisition programs by implementing cyber resiliency engineering and protective architectures with an accent on weapon system critical program information (CPI) and risk management. Location: Onsite in Lexington Park, MD (Naval Air Warfare Center, Aircraft Division in Patuxent River)
Salary: $70,000 - $104,000 per year

What you will do
- Investigate, analyze, and design military weapons systems using engineering principles to develop technical analyses and reports.
- Identify weapon system critical program information (CPI) and determine the consequences of compromise.
- Develop protective architectures and advocate for contractual requirements in developmental programs.
- Coordinate with Joint and Department of Defense agencies to ensure horizontal protection requirements are met.
- Collaborate with the Navy Verification & Validation (V&V) team to assess system designs and solutions.
- Serve as a Technical Review Board (TRB) member providing specialized SSE expertise.
Requirements
- Must possess a current Top-Secret clearance with the ability to obtain/maintain Top-Secret/SCI.
- At least 3 years of recent experience in systems engineering, specifically System Security Engineering (SSE).
- Proven experience developing Program Protection Plans and associated artifacts.
- Experience developing and understanding aircraft network architectures.
- Strong knowledge of DoD systems acquisition life cycle and weapon systems.
- BA/BS degree in Aerospace, Electrical, Cyber Security, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field.
Nice to have
- Master’s degree in a related scientific or technical discipline.
- Knowledge of model-based systems engineering (MBSE) and digital engineering transformations.
- Direct experience in AT systems engineering and DoD acquisitions.
