What you will do

• Lead the migration of product workloads to optimized data stores.
• Design and implement OLTP access patterns, indexing, and schema structures.
• Develop reusable data-sync utilities and ORM best practices for product teams.
• Scale the data platform to include caching, search, and event streaming.
• Provide architectural guidance to product engineers on data placement and access.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with OLTP access patterns and schema design in user-facing applications.
• Deep expertise in a major relational engine, specifically Postgres.
• Proven track record of executing zero-downtime migrations on large, live tables.
• Experience scaling systems for high-traffic domains such as fintech, marketplaces, or large-scale SaaS.
• Strong software engineering skills with the ability to ship production code beyond SQL.

Nice to have

• Experience with Redis, search engines, or event streaming.
• Knowledge of payments or financial data systems.
• Proficiency with AWS/GCP, Terraform, and performance observability tools.
