Chapter Lead Inside Business Portal

What you will do

• Lead and manage a chapter of 8–10 engineers across multiple technology disciplines.
• Set objectives, provide performance feedback, plan careers, identify training needs, and coach chapter members.
• Recruit, onboard, and develop engineering talent while ensuring compliance with company policies and training requirements.
• Own delivery of high-quality software solutions and application support for the Inside Business Portal.
• Partner with Product Owners, CJEs, customers, infrastructure, operations, and business stakeholders to define requirements and manage the backlog.
• Improve security, quality gates, monitoring, system performance, reliability, maintainability, engineering tooling, and cross-team practices.

Requirements

• University degree in IT or engineering.
• 10+ years of IT experience, including leadership experience and team-building responsibilities.
• Hands-on engineering experience with Java, Spring Boot, Python, REST API design and implementation, and SOAP.
• Knowledge of modern architecture, DevOps, CI/CD with Azure DevOps, and containerization with Kubernetes, Docker, and OpenShift.
• Experience with SRE tooling, integrations, testing frameworks, and databases including Grafana, Prometheus, Kafka, JMS, MQ, JUnit, Selenium, Cucumber, Oracle, Hibernate, and Elasticsearch.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication, decision-making, quality management, enterprise delivery, and ownership skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and TypeScript.
• Experience using agile methodology.
