Chapter Lead Inside Business Portal (Fintech)

Location: Must be based in Bucharest, Romania (Dacia One)

What you will do

• Directly manage a team of 8-10 engineers, handling performance evaluations, career planning, and objective setting.
• Drive the full recruitment lifecycle, including hiring, onboarding, and mentoring of new talent.
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions for the Inside Business Portal, owning both build and run phases.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and stakeholders to define requirements, plan backlogs, and mitigate project risks.
• Implement engineering best practices and improve tooling and CI/CD processes across teams.
• Remove technical bottlenecks to optimize system performance, reliability, and maintainability.

Requirements

• University degree in IT or engineering.
• 10+ years of IT experience, including significant experience in leadership roles.
• Hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Python, and REST API design/implementation.
• Proficiency with Azure DevOps, Kubernetes, Docker, and OpenShift.
• Experience with SRE tooling (Grafana, Prometheus) and integration technologies (Kafka, JMS, MQ).
• Must be based in Bucharest, Romania.

Nice to have

• Experience with frontend technologies such as JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Practical experience with Agile methodologies.
• Knowledge of SOAP and various testing frameworks (JUnit, Selenium, Cucumber).
