What you will do
- Design, scale, and own the E2E test strategy and framework architecture for complex web applications.
- Build and optimize robust automation frameworks using Cypress and TypeScript/JavaScript.
- Automate and embed production smoke tests and regression suites into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab, Jenkins).
- Investigate test failures by analyzing API payloads, container logs (Kubernetes/Docker), and backend code in Python or Go.
- Establish QA guidelines, lead structured bug bashes, and author technical documentation for the engineering team.
- Partner with software engineers, product owners, and DevOps to embed a shift-left quality culture.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in Software Quality Engineering with a heavy focus on web automation.
- 2+ years of recent experience building and scaling Cypress frameworks using TypeScript or JavaScript.
- Ability to read, navigate, and debug backend services written in Python or Go.
- Proven track record of configuring automated quality gates and parallel test execution in CI/CD environments.
- Proficiency in using DevTools, inspecting network calls (APIs), and writing SQL queries for data verification.
- Solid written and verbal English skills.
