Head of Events (Developer Relations): Owning the strategy and execution of high-impact experiences for developers and engineering leaders with an accent on creative storytelling, branding, and developer acquisition. Focus on designing unique activations, managing a global events portfolio, and driving measurable product adoption through community engagement.

Location: Must work from the San Francisco office at least 3 days a week

Base salary range: $180,000 – $250,000 USD

What you will do

• Develop and execute the end-to-end events strategy, including owned experiences, conferences, and field programs.
• Set the creative bar for design, storytelling, and branding across all event touchpoints.
• Drive developer acquisition, product adoption, and community growth using defined ROI frameworks.
• Manage the global events calendar and oversee the associated budget with financial discipline.
• Coordinate with vendors, agencies, and creative partners to ensure high-quality delivery.
• Act as a hands-on individual contributor, defining the vision and driving execution.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in events, experiential marketing, or Developer Relations for technical audiences.
• Proven track record of managing event budgets and delivering measurable results.
• Ability to travel frequently (often 30%+).
• Must be based in San Francisco to work from the office 3+ days a week.
• Strong project and stakeholder management skills.

Nice to have

• Prior experience in developer tools, infrastructure, or databases.
• Background in Developer Relations or developer community building.
• Existing relationships within the developer conference and events ecosystem.
