What you will do

• Develop a deep understanding of technology architecture, operations, and financial-reporting dependencies.
• Own and improve the IT risk and control framework, including risk assessments and control-catalogue maintenance.
• Lead IT SOX readiness, including walkthroughs, evidence review, and remediation oversight.
• Partner with engineering and security teams to design scalable controls for cloud, DevOps, and CI/CD environments.
• Assess ITGCs and application controls, ensuring completeness and accuracy of system-generated information.
• Translate complex technical risks into practical guidance for engineering and system owners.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of progressive experience in IT risk, IT controls, IT SOX, or technology assurance.
• Meaningful in-house technology or corporate ownership experience is required.
• Practical knowledge of SOX 404, ITGCs, COSO, and COBIT.
• Hands-on experience in an engineering-led, cloud, or SaaS environment.
• Strong written and verbal English proficiency.
• Must be authorized to work in the Netherlands.

Nice to have

• Professional certifications such as CISA, CRISC, CISM, CIA, or CPA.
• Experience with GRC tools like Jira, ServiceNow GRC, or Workiva.
• Exposure to AI governance or AI/ML control environments.
• Experience building IT SOX frameworks in listed or pre-IPO technology companies.
