Location: Hybrid in Amsterdam, Netherlands (2–3 days in office)

Salary: €65,000–€75,000 per year or €90–€95 per day (freelance)

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end packaging development for NPD and renovation projects across bars, seasonal, and gifting ranges.
• Translate innovation briefs into technically feasible and on-brand packaging solutions.
• Manage the delivery process from initial concept through validation to successful first production.
• Partner with Operations and Quality teams to ensure food safety, regulatory compliance, and scalability.
• Improve packaging development processes by introducing best-in-class validation methods.
• Contribute to the long-term sustainability roadmap and optimize materials and formats.

Requirements

• Experience in packaging development within FMCG or food sectors with a strong technical focus on materials.
• Proven track record of delivering end-to-end packaging projects (concept to production).
• Expertise in packaging technology and manufacturing processes.
• Experience managing suppliers, co-packers, and cross-functional international teams.
• Based in or willing to work from Amsterdam (2–3 days in office).
• Available for an 8-month interim assignment starting in mid-September.
