Senior Fullstack Developer (PHP/Vue)

TL;DR

Senior Fullstack Developer (PHP/Vue): Building and maintaining a documentation platform for electricians with an accent on PHP/Symfony backend services and a Vue 3 frontend. Focus on operational ownership of production systems, scaling documentation flows, and integrating hardware-manufacturer data.

Location: Hybrid in Berlin, Germany (weekly in-person day required)

Sparkify (by Onstruc UG) provides NFC-enabled documentation software for the electrical trade to replace manual paper-and-pen workflows.

What you will do

• Own the Symfony service fleet, including API, auth, payment, and notification services.
• Maintain and develop the web client using Vue 3, Vuetify, and TypeScript.
• Ship end-to-end features across checkout, billing, workspace, and documentation flows.
• Build data import/export support for new hardware-manufacturer partners.
• Manage production infrastructure using Hetzner, GitHub Actions, Pulumi (IaC), and observability tools.
• Work through a prioritized backlog of bugs and product improvements in close collaboration with the founder.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of full-stack engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in PHP and Symfony.
• Solid modern frontend skills with Vue 3 and TypeScript.
• Comfort with document-based data modeling and nested JSON (Couchbase experience is a plus).
• English: C1+ level (excellent spoken and written).
• Must be based in Berlin for regular hybrid office attendance.

Nice to have

• Proficiency in German.
• Experience with e-commerce or payment gateways (e.g., Mollie, Stripe).
• Experience with Pulumi or Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
