Location: Hybrid in Berlin, Germany (attendance required 2 days a week)

What you will do

• Define and execute a comprehensive platform and infrastructure strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Champion a "platform-as-a-product" mindset to deliver self-service capabilities and "golden paths" for developers.
• Lead and mentor a global engineering organization of 50+ platform engineers across major hubs.
• Oversee the architecture and reliable rollout of automated, secure multi-cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP) and microservices tooling.
• Manage large-scale infrastructure budgets and drive group-wide cost optimization and ROI.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in Software Engineering, DevOps, or SRE, with 5+ years dedicated to platform engineering at web-scale.
• 5+ years in senior engineering leadership roles (Director level or above) managing multiple teams.
• Proven experience building and driving the group-wide adoption of a unified developer platform in complex organizations.
• Deep familiarity with cloud-native microservices, event-driven architectures, and containerization/observability frameworks.
• Technical proficiency in Go and robust experience with AWS and GCP infrastructure ecosystems.
• Must be based in or able to work hybrid in Berlin, Germany.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical engineering background.
