What you will do

• Partner with the Country Localisation Lead to define Canva's voice in Portuguese (BRL) across the product.
• Translate and review key product and marketing content while managing localization partners and vendors.
• Develop and maintain style guides, glossaries, and translation memories to ensure quality and consistency.
• Provide cultural insights and localization recommendations to optimize the user experience for Brazilian audiences.
• Assess machine translation and AI-generated language outputs to maintain high-quality local experiences.
• Collaborate with marketing, subscriptions, and content teams to deliver impactful localization initiatives.

Requirements

• Exceptional writing and communication skills in Portuguese (BRL) with a strong grasp of tone and cultural nuance.
• Experience working with CAT tools and localization platforms.
• Ability to thrive in fast-moving, entrepreneurial environments and take ownership of projects.
• Strong attention to detail for reviewing and improving translated content.
• Must be based in São Paulo, Brazil to ensure effective team collaboration.

Nice to have

• Experience with SaaS localization, SEO, or copywriting.
• Proficiency with design tools, specifically Canva.
• Experience using Smartling.
