What you will do

• Develop Kiro, a frontier AI coding agent designed to tackle software development tasks end-to-end.
• Orchestrate AI workflows across multiple models and implement intelligent routing systems.
• Design and scale the context layer that enables the agent to genuinely understand complex projects.
• Build and maintain AI infrastructure focusing on AWS's high standards for reliability and security.
• Lead technical direction for new capabilities and take ownership of critical systems.

Requirements

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of experience with at least one major programming language.
• 5+ years of experience leading design or architecture of scalable and reliable systems.
• Proven experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team.
• Must be based in or authorized to work in Seattle, WA, USA

Nice to have

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in the full software development life cycle, including code reviews and operations.
