Senior Software Cloud Engineer - PCS - IoT (IoT): Designing and developing high-integrity cloud software supporting implantable cardiac devices with an accent on distributed systems, medical-device software standards, and scalable application architecture. Focus on building and testing AWS-based applications with .NET, C#, Java, Docker, Kubernetes, microservices, REST APIs, and CI/CD pipelines.
Location: Galway, County Galway, Ireland; hybrid work
Salary: €65,600–€98,400 per year, plus eligibility for the Incentive Plan.

What you will do
- Design and develop high-integrity software supporting implantable cardiac devices.
- Define technical product requirements and high-level architectural specifications.
- Design, build, and test distributed and high-performance applications in a global cloud infrastructure environment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and support design reviews, requirements validation, and risk mitigation.
- Participate in Scrum ceremonies, including backlog grooming, sprint planning, demos, and retrospectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field at NFQ Level 8 or higher.
- At least 7 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with AWS, including S3, Docker, Kubernetes, microservice architecture, and high-performing distributed systems.
- Strong C# and .NET 8+ development skills, including Entity Framework.
- Experience with Java, REST APIs, OpenAPI specifications, relational databases, and NoSQL datastores such as HBase and DynamoDB.
- Experience with .NET testing frameworks and Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
Nice to have
- Practical experience with SQL and Java.
- Familiarity with SpecFlow and MS Test for behavior-driven development.
- Experience with Visual Studio, Git, Bitbucket, and Azure DevOps.
