What you will do

• Design data models for new entities, including schemas, relationships, and field specifications.
• Build and maintain reliable ETL/ELT pipelines for data extraction and loading using Apache Airflow.
• Write and optimize high-performance SQL queries for data warehouse tables and data marts.
• Collaborate with the Analytics team to align on data requirements and business logic.
• Manage data access controls, permissions, and secure access models.
• Resolve data ingestion issues through debugging, validation, and data recovery.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong SQL proficiency (window functions, CTEs, query optimization) and Python skills (Pandas).
• Hands-on experience with Apache Airflow 2, including writing DAGs and monitoring.
• Deep understanding of ClickHouse (MergeTree family, TTL, indexes, large-scale aggregations).
• Experience working with S3, BigQuery, and web scraping techniques.
• Must be based in or able to work from Limassol, Almaty, Yerevan, or Tbilisi.

Nice to have

• Experience with Liquibase and data migration (e.g., PostgreSQL to ClickHouse).
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices using GitLab CI or dbt.
• Knowledge of data modeling methodologies like Data Vault, Star Schema, or Snowflake Schema.
