TL;DR
Cyber Security Analyst (Microsoft Sentinel): Monitoring, investigating, and responding to enterprise security threats while helping build a Dutch-speaking Security Operations Center with an accent on Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender, and customer-facing incident response. Focus on alert triage, incident escalation, SOC runbook development, and shaping operational procedures for managed detection and response services.
Location: On-site in Amsterdam, Netherlands. A valid working visa for the Netherlands is required.

What you will do
- Monitor and analyze security events in Microsoft Sentinel and Microsoft Defender environments.
- Perform alert triage, incident classification, initial investigations, and response recommendations.
- Validate events and escalate incidents to L2/L3 security teams when required.
- Communicate with customers in Dutch and support discussions related to security, NIS2, and DORA.
- Maintain incident documentation, reports, and case records.
- Develop SOC runbooks, playbooks, operational procedures, and service improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- 2–4 years of experience in a SOC, cybersecurity, or security operations environment.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender XDR, or a comparable Microsoft security stack.
- Knowledge of incident response, threat detection, investigation, escalation, Microsoft 365 security, networking, cloud security, and identity security.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and customer-facing skills.
- Fluent or professional Dutch and English, written and verbal.
- Valid working visa for the Netherlands required.
Nice to have
- Certifications such as SC-200, Security+, MS-900, AZ-900, or ITIL Foundation.
- Experience working with external customers.
