Manager - Software Engineering (AI)

Location: Turin, Italy; hybrid work mode. Applicants may be required to attend onsite interviews at a hirify.global office.

What you will do

• Build and lead a high-performing engineering team delivering scalable web-based software.
• Provide project-based technical leadership and apply software design and architecture expertise to large initiatives.
• Drive adoption of AI-native development practices, including agentic workflows, spec-driven engineering, and AI-powered tools.
• Partner with Product and Architecture leaders to identify AI opportunities that improve delivery effectiveness and customer outcomes.
• Translate business needs into capability-building, hiring, team composition, and organizational plans.
• Set performance and career goals, support employee development, remove blockers, and contribute to recruiting and interviews.

Requirements

• At least a couple of years of experience leading people.
• Experience with modern software engineering practices, including AI-assisted development, agentic workflows, and spec-driven approaches.
• Understanding of applying Artificial Intelligence throughout the Software Development Lifecycle.
• Solid cloud application and development experience, with strong knowledge of Microsoft .NET, C#, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, and SQL databases.
• Knowledge of Git and strong Agile practices, ideally including TDD.
• Fluent Italian and English, with strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
