What you will do

• Design and maintain scalable APIs and services for money movement.
• Contribute to the architecture of the payments platform, including service boundaries and data ownership.
• Build robust systems handling idempotency, retries, and reconciliation across external integrations.
• Debug and resolve critical production issues across the stack.
• Lead design reviews and establish engineering quality standards.
• Mentor senior engineers and foster payments expertise within the organization.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with a track record of technical leadership.
• Experience in payments, banking, or fintech with knowledge of ledgers, settlement, and reconciliation.
• 2+ years of experience with Go, Java, .NET, or TypeScript.
• Experience building distributed, event-driven systems.
• Strong API design skills and experience with third-party integrations at scale.
• Deep experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Experience with messaging systems like Kafka, RabbitMQ, SNS, or SQS.
