Research Intern (Finance)

TL;DR

Research Intern (Finance): Supporting the Macro Research team in analyzing and forecasting European and global economic developments with an accent on macroeconomic themes, data cleaning, and quantitative modeling. Focus on developing forecasting tools, structuring large datasets, and contributing to research notes on inflation and monetary policy.

Location: Hybrid (Amsterdam). Must be enrolled at a Dutch university (or EU-university for EU passport holders).

Salary: €700 monthly allowance

What you will do

• Support economists with macroeconomic analysis and the preparation of research notes.
• Clean and structure large macroeconomic datasets to ensure data quality.
• Assist in the development of quantitative models and forecasting tools.
• Contribute to ad-hoc research requests and various team projects.
• Collaborate with colleagues across Financial Markets and global sector research teams.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor or Master degree in Economics, Econometrics, or a related field.
• Mandatory enrollment at a Dutch university (or EU-university for EU passport holders).
• Proficiency in Excel; knowledge of Python, R, EViews, or STATA is a plus.
• Strong analytical and quantitative thinking skills.
• Fluent in English (written and verbal).
