What you will do
- Build and run Azure cloud-native services using Functions, IoT Hub, Event Hubs, and API Management.
- Design and implement event-driven integrations and REST APIs for other teams.
- Develop backend services for mobile apps so customers can see and steer energy at home.
- Create and maintain integrations with OEMs and vendors, handling partner-specific differences.
- Automate infrastructure with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Ensure reliability and quality with CI/CD, automated tests, monitoring, and observability.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of engineering experience.
- Solid engineering fundamentals and code quality that others can build on.
- Strong experience with TypeScript and Node.js (or a strong developer in another modern language willing to switch).
- Understanding of event-driven architecture and APIs, with a focus on reliability when things go wrong.
- Comfort working in the cloud; Azure experience is a plus (AWS/GCP experience transfers well).
- Ownership mindset from first commit to production.
