Location: Must be based in Penang, Malaysia (Hybrid: 3+ days in office)

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain robust, scalable data models and custom statistical solutions.
• Deliver high-quality market predictions for syndicated and consulting research projects.
• Implement analytical methodologies to transform complex data into actionable business intelligence.
• Collaborate as an analytical subject matter expert with research, product, and technology teams.
• Ensure quality control through validation protocols, peer reviews, and version control.
• Support the development of the team strategy and lead bespoke analytical projects.

Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience in analytical roles.
• Proficiency in regression analysis, time series forecasting, multivariate analysis, and econometric modelling.
• Hands-on experience with Python or R for building end-to-end analytical workflows.
• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or Engineering.
• Experience handling large, complex datasets and addressing data quality challenges.
• Strong communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholder management.

Nice to have

• In-depth knowledge of the TMT (Telecoms, Media, Technology) industry.
• Master's degree in a quantitative subject.
• Experience supervising others or leading small project teams.
• Experience with cloud-based analytical platforms.
