What you will do
- Own Data Science strategies for specific markets/industries on new and established products and services.
- Act as a DS business partner for country and cluster leaders to achieve revenue and EBITDA objectives.
- Translate strategic client business needs into analytical strategies and innovative solutions.
- Design and conduct studies and use advanced analytics to build prototypes and proofs of concept.
- Collaborate with other Data Science units to deliver and prioritize objectives.
- Lead, coach, and develop junior data scientists, providing performance objectives.
Requirements
- Degree in Maths, Data Science, Statistics, or related fields.
- 5+ years of experience in market research or a relevant field.
- Solid understanding of CPG/FMCG Industry and Retail market impact.
- English: Great command of written and spoken English (C1) required.
- Location: Must be based in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia for hybrid work.
- Proven leadership, people management, and coaching skills.
Nice to have
- Experience with eCommerce, webscraping, and consumer-sourced data solutions.
- Knowledge of programming languages Python or R.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Spotfire.
