What you will do

• Build a custom WordPress theme from scratch without the use of page builders.
• Create well-structured, reusable content components using ACF Pro.
• Develop custom Gutenberg blocks.
• Translate Figma designs into polished, pixel-perfect web pages.
• Improve website performance, focusing on loading times, caching, and asset handling.
• Collaborate closely with frontend/UI and delivery teams to maintain clean, extendable code.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of hands-on experience with custom WordPress development.
• Strong PHP skills following WordPress standards.
• Practical expertise with ACF Pro.
• Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Proven track record of building custom themes from the ground up.
• Solid understanding of performance optimization and SEO fundamentals.

Nice to have

• Experience developing Gutenberg blocks.
• Basic DevOps knowledge regarding deployments and environments.
• Experience working in regulated industries such as banking or fintech.
• Familiarity with AWS or managed hosting services.
