Cybersecurity Architect (TS/SCI, CI Poly)

Location: Los Angeles, California, United States. The role supports classified U.S. government programs and requires an active, in-scope, adjudicated TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph before starting. The hire must be a U.S. Person under ITAR or otherwise eligible for a federally issued export control license.

Salary: $170,000–$230,000 per year, plus equity.

What you will do

• Architect end-to-end cybersecurity solutions for hirify.global, DoD, and Intelligence Community environments.
• Lead Risk Management Framework accreditation activities, including SSPs, SARs, and POA&Ms.
• Define security architecture baselines, reference models, and standards for multi-domain and cross-domain systems.
• Conduct threat modeling, vulnerability assessments, and security architecture reviews for classified programs.
• Support Cross Domain Solution design, evaluation, and accreditation with approval authorities.
• Present architecture recommendations to senior leadership and mentor junior security specialists.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph, in-scope and adjudicated before the start date.
• 8+ years of cybersecurity experience supporting the DoD, Intelligence Community, or U.S. government national security programs.
• Expertise designing cybersecurity architectures for classified and sensitive government networks and information systems.
• Strong knowledge of NIST SP 800-53, ICD 503, CNSSI 1253, DODI 8510.01, and related DoD/IC frameworks.
• Experience with multi-classification environments, cross-domain data transfers, network security, PKI/encryption, intrusion detection and prevention, IAM, and PAM.
• Bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, computer science, information systems, electrical engineering, or a related technical field.

Nice to have

• Experience implementing zero trust architecture in classified environments.
• Experience with NSA-approved cryptography, classified cloud platforms, Cross Domain Solutions, data guards, CMMC, or classified program security management.
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, SABSA, CASP+, DoD 8570/8140 IAT or IAM Level III, CCSP, or AWS Certified Security – Specialty.
• Master’s degree in a related field.
