Clearing Operations Cash & Settlement Intern (Financial Markets)

Location: Rome, Italy; onsite position.

What you will do

• Support daily clearing operations, document archiving, and data organization.
• Maintain the operational diary with schedules and tasks using Excel and PDF files.
• Manage account files containing opening and closing balances and transaction movements.
• Monitor alerts, process netting requests, and check the consistency of submitted forms.
• Prepare files, reports, and reconciliations for stakeholders.
• Perform afternoon reconciliations of securities and cash.

Requirements

• Good knowledge of Excel and basic Python.
• Ability to work with PDFs and data-archiving tools.
• Bachelor’s degree or ongoing studies in finance, economics, or a related field.
• Good command of English required.
• Attention to detail, teamwork, and organizational skills.
• No prior experience required.

Nice to have

• Internship or project experience in financial operations.
• French language skills.
