Senior DevOps Engineer (AWS)

TL;DR

Senior DevOps Engineer (AWS): Designing and implementing highly available, secure AWS architectures for an energy utilities platform with an accent on scalability, fault tolerance, and cloud strategy. Focus on building complex CI/CD pipelines, automating infrastructure via IaC, and optimizing large-scale Kubernetes (EKS) environments.

Location: Remote in Ukraine (or hybrid with office)

What you will do

• Design and implement highly available, fault-tolerant, and secure AWS architectures at scale.
• Build complex CI/CD pipelines and automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management.
• Analyze infrastructure performance to identify bottlenecks and implement cost and efficiency optimization strategies.
• Lead troubleshooting for system-wide issues, performing root cause analysis and implementing preventative measures.
• Design and enforce secure infrastructure patterns and conduct regular security audits.
• Mentor team members and drive the adoption of emerging DevOps tools and AWS services.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in a DevOps engineering role with significant AWS experience.
• Proven track record of designing and implementing large-scale AWS solutions.
• Expertise in IaC tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Extensive experience with Docker, Kubernetes (EKS), and microservices architectures.
• Must be based in Ukraine.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Expertise in configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
• Relevant AWS certifications (Solutions Architect Professional, DevOps Engineer Professional, or Security Specialty).
• Strong scripting skills in Python or Bash.
• In-depth knowledge of VPC design, networking concepts, and network security.
• Understanding of cloud security principles and compliance standards (SOC 2, ISO 27001, PCI DSS).
