What you will do

• Lead end-to-end design and implementation of scalable, high-availability cloud infrastructure and platform strategy.
• Own the reliability of services handling billions of weekly requests, establishing operational best practices and incident response.
• Drive the evolution of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) patterns using Terraform to ensure modularity and minimize operational toil.
• Optimize delivery pipelines to balance rapid deployment with rigorous safety checks.
• Mentor L1 and L2 engineers through code reviews, design documents, and pair programming.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering leadership to align technical roadmaps and reduce technical debt.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in Cloud, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).
• Proficiency in Python, Java, or Go.
• Proven track record of designing and deploying complex AWS cloud-native solutions (CloudFront, WAF, Lambda, S3) at scale.
• Advanced expertise with Terraform, including custom providers and state management across multiple environments.
• Deep understanding of SLIs, SLOs, and monitoring strategies using tools like Datadog, Grafana, or Athena.
• Strong background in microservices architecture, specifically traffic routing, rate limiting, and service discovery.

Nice to have

• Experience implementing security-at-scale, WAF management, DDoS mitigation, and Zero Trust architectures.
• Passion for building Internal Developer Platforms (IDPs) to abstract infrastructure complexity.
• Contributions to cloud-native/networking ecosystems or public Terraform providers.
