TL;DR
Senior Engineering Manager (Mobile): Leading the development of new privacy-centric products with an accent on scaling customer-facing mobile applications for millions of users. Focus on technical execution, mobile architecture (Swift/Kotlin/Rust), and managing distributed engineering teams.
Location: Geneva, Switzerland or Paris, France. Hybrid (30% WFH) or fully remote options may be available.
Salary: Paris: €83,000 – €106,000 gross annually

What you will do
- Lead and grow engineering teams of 10+ engineers in a fast-paced environment.
- Translate technical strategy into execution for upcoming mobile products.
- Partner with Product and Design on roadmap planning, prioritization, and delivery.
- Oversee mobile architecture, debugging, release management, and app performance.
- Scale consumer mobile products to support 1M+ monthly active users (MAU).
Requirements
- Experience leading 10+ engineers in a high-velocity product environment.
- Proven success managing fully remote or distributed engineering teams.
- Deep technical expertise in Swift, Kotlin, and/or Rust.
- Experience scaling B2C/B2B mobile applications with 1M+ MAU.
- Track record of improving metrics like user growth, retention, and release cadence.
Nice to have
- Experience with Rust.
- Background in real-time communication products (messaging, chat, collaboration).
- Knowledge of end-to-end encryption and security-focused product development.
- Experience building high-impact open-source solutions.
- Applying AI in development and testing processes.
