What you will do

• Lead project teams and implement end-to-end AI/ML and GenAI projects from business needs to data preparation, model development, deployment, and monitoring.
• Design and implement high-performance, reliable, scalable, and secure machine learning pipelines.
• Build scalable ML solutions and MLOps using AWS services, applying GenAI solutions when applicable.
• Collaborate with Applied Science, DevOps, Data Engineering, Cloud Infrastructure, and Applications to operationalize data and ML models.
• Advise customers on AI/ML and GenAI solutions and cloud architectures; ensure best practices, performance optimization, and risk management.
• Share knowledge through mentoring, training, publications, and reusable artifacts.

Requirements

• 5+ years of database experience (e.g., SQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Kinesis).
• 7+ years of consulting, design, and implementation of serverless distributed solutions.
• 5+ years of software development with an object-oriented language.
• 3+ years of cloud-based solution experience (AWS or equivalent) plus system, network, and operating system experience.
• 7+ years of external or internal customer-facing, complex, large-scale project management experience.
• 5+ years leading technical teams with hands-on data/software/ML engineering experience, including distributed computing (data pipelines, training/inference, ML infrastructure design).

Nice to have

• AWS Professional level certification or advanced technology degree.
• Experience with automation and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Python, CloudFormation, CDK), and Containers & CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with MLOps tools and orchestration (e.g., MLflow, Kubeflow, Airflow, AWS Step Functions).
• Experience building GenAI applications (LLMs, vector stores, LangChain, prompt engineering).
• Knowledge of security and compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR) and cloud cost/performance optimization.
