What you will do

• Lead and coordinate the daily activities of the Diabetic Retinal Screening team.
• Oversee induction, training, and professional development for new and existing staff.
• Conduct regular skills assessments, competency reviews, and annual appraisals.
• Manage programme equipment maintenance and ensure compliance with technical standards.
• Maintain staff rotas and handle administrative tasks including leave and expense reporting.
• Support the Programme Manager in achieving service objectives and key performance indicators.

Requirements

• Must have previous experience in Diabetic Retinopathy Screening.
• Must possess a full, clean Irish driving licence.
• Must demonstrate a pre-existing right to work and travel within the EU.
• Proven people management and team leadership capabilities.
• IT literacy and understanding of information governance.
• Ability to work independently while supervising other clinical staff.

Nice to have

• Higher certificate in Diabetic Retinal Screening or equivalent qualification.
