Location: Remote (US only). Note: Cannot hire in Montana, Hawaii, Alaska, or Washington DC.

What you will do

• Design and own data pipelines transforming application and third-party data into relational databases.
• Partner with analytics engineering to build data models and reporting for research teams.
• Own data quality across ingestion, modeling, and reporting to ensure reliability.
• Build and ship production AI infrastructure and services.
• Develop evaluation systems, test datasets, and production monitoring for AI features.
• Set standards for data engineering practices and mentor team members.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering with exposure to ML systems in production.
• Strong Python skills and fluency with data stacks like Snowflake and Postgres.
• Experience with orchestration tools such as Airflow or Dagster.
• Experience working with cloud environments like GCP or AWS.
• Track record of shipping AI/ML systems that real users depend on.
• Must be based in the US (excluding MT, HI, AK, DC).

Nice to have

• Experience with dbt or similar modeling frameworks.
• Familiarity with LLM evaluation and observability tooling.
• Exposure to MCP-based tooling or agentic data workflows.
