Salary: $153,000 - $213,000 CAD per year

What you will do

• Lead development of fraud prediction models using tabular, graph, and behavioral data.
• Build and scale feature pipelines and training datasets from proprietary and third-party signals.
• Prototype new modeling ideas, run offline experiments, and drive best-performing approaches into production.
• Integrate models into batch and real-time decision systems, optimizing for reliability and latency.
• Instrument and monitor model and data health, defining retraining and backtesting workflows.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Fraud Analytics, and Product teams to define requirements and communicate results.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience researching, training, and launching ML models at scale (PhD counts for 2 years).
• Proven track record of delivering high-impact ML models in low-latency live settings.
• Strong Python skills and experience writing production-quality code.
• Experience with tabular classification (e.g., LightGBM, XGBoost, CatBoost).
• Proficiency with PyTorch and distributed data processing frameworks (e.g., Spark, Ray, Dask).
• Residency in specific Canadian provinces (AB, BC, MB, NB, NL, NS, ON, PE, or SK) is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with ML lifecycle tools like Kubeflow, Airflow, or MLflow.
• Proficiency in using AI-powered developer tools such as Claude Code or Cursor.
