What you will do

• Design and maintain core backend services using Python for an AI-native underwriting platform.
• Lead the technical direction and architecture of the platform, ensuring it is scalable, secure, and observable.
• Collaborate with frontend engineers on integrations with React and TypeScript applications.
• Define and promote engineering standards and development workflows to improve velocity and quality.
• Build internal engineering tooling and developer productivity solutions.
• Mentor team members through technical leadership, code reviews, and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• Extensive commercial experience developing production software using Python.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and familiarity with React frontend architecture.
• Proven experience designing scalable distributed architectures and secure software systems.
• Practical experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor).
• Must be based in the European Union region and have a valid work permit.
• Strong ownership mentality with the ability to independently drive technical initiatives.

Nice to have

• Experience building applications with LangGraph, LangChain, or designing agentic AI workflows.
• Experience working within the insurance or InsurTech domain.
• Formal enterprise architecture experience while remaining hands-on in development.
• Experience building internal engineering platforms or productivity tooling.
• Interest in emerging AI-driven paradigms and automation patterns.
