Location: Hybrid in Haifa, Israel

What you will do

  • Define and drive optical subsystem architecture for next-generation data centers.
  • Design scalable optical hierarchies, including CPUs, GPUs, and electrical switches.
  • Develop strategies for bandwidth optimization, latency reduction, and power efficiency for hyperscale deployments.
  • Analyze and provide recommendations on UAL, UEC, SUE protocols and PHY components (UCIe, 802.3xx, OIF).
  • Build analytic performance models for optical subsystems and conduct workload characterization for AI, HPC, and cloud applications.
  • Provide technical guidance to engineers and influence architectural decisions across multiple teams.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • 12+ years of experience in subsystem architecture and design for CPUs or SoCs.
  • Proven experience with Optical Photonics and deep knowledge of Optical Architecture and standards.
  • Familiarity with CXL, PCIe, and interconnect technologies.
  • Experience with performance modeling tools and EDA flows.
  • Location: Must be based in Haifa, Israel for a hybrid work arrangement.

Nice to have

  • Experience with hyperscale data center workloads.
  • Knowledge of AI/ML memory optimization and heterogeneous compute integration.
  • Contributions to optical architecture research or industry standards.
