What you will do

• Design, develop, and operate business-critical APIs and services with a focus on high availability and low latency.
• Architect and build reusable code, libraries, and patterns for use across multiple teams.
• Lead technical discussions during architecture meetings, design reviews, and task breakdowns.
• Mentor junior engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and technical guidance.
• Participate in on-call rotations and lead incident response efforts to maintain system reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners in Product, Design, and QA to deliver platform features.

Requirements

• Must be based in Warsaw, Poland
• 6+ years of software development experience building high-performance, scalable backend cloud systems.
• Expertise in Kotlin, Python, or similar languages.
• Strong experience with backend web frameworks like Spring Boot or Bottle/Gunicorn.
• Hands-on experience with relational and NoSQL databases, Elastic Search, and caching systems.
• Proficiency with AWS cloud infrastructure, Docker, and Kubernetes.

Nice to have

• Experience building personal voice digital assistants or chatbots.
• Experience with search platform personalization.
• Background working with Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) technologies.
