TL;DR
Sr. Software Engineer, Content AI (Kotlin/Python, NLP/ASR): Designing and operating scalable microservices, APIs, and AI-powered search, voice, and captioning features for Peloton’s fitness platforms with an accent on high availability, low latency, security, and scalability. Focus on optimizing distributed systems, building reusable components, leading architecture decisions, and maintaining reliability through observability, load testing, and incident response.
Location: Warsaw, Poland; office attendance is required on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays
Base salary range: 307,500–361,600 PLN per year

What you will do
- Design, develop, deploy, operate, and monitor scalable microservices, APIs, and backend services for ’s Bike, Tread, Strength, and Digital platforms.
- Build and maintain NLP and ASR models and services supporting search, voice, and captions.
- Improve availability, latency, security, scalability, and performance through data modeling, query optimization, caching, load testing, monitoring, and tracing.
- Lead architecture discussions, design reviews, task breakdowns, and technical implementation across teams.
- Develop reusable libraries, components, patterns, and engineering standards, including CI/CD, test automation, feature toggles, logging, and monitoring.
- Mentor engineers, collaborate with Product, Design, QA, and TPM stakeholders, and lead on-call incident response.
Requirements
- 6+ years of software development experience building high-performance, highly scalable backend cloud systems.
- Expertise in Kotlin, Python, or similar languages, with experience using Spring Boot, Bottle/Gunicorn, or comparable backend frameworks.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases, Elasticsearch query optimization, caching systems, and REST, gRPC, or GraphQL.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, AWS services, Terraform, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and observability tools such as Datadog.
- Strong understanding of API design, security, performance optimization, production support, distributed-system troubleshooting, and incident response.
- BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
Nice to have
- Experience building personal voice assistants or chatbots.
- Experience building search platforms and personalizing search and discovery.
- Experience with automatic speech recognition.
