What you will do

• Shape the architecture of core platforms to ensure scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
• Design and oversee the implementation of secure, high-performing AWS cloud-native platform solutions.
• Establish architectural standards, best practices, and governance models for development and operations.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, infrastructure, and security teams for cohesive platform integration.
• Monitor platform performance and guide optimization efforts to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams to promote architectural excellence.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience with emphasis on enterprise-grade platforms.
• 8+ years of experience in software architecture, platform engineering, or infrastructure design.
• Deep expertise in distributed systems, cloud-native architecture (AWS), and data-intensive application design.
• Proficiency with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and building production CI/CD pipelines.
• English: C1 level (excellent written and verbal skills) required.
• Location: Must be based in or able to work in a hybrid model in Sofia, Bulgaria.

Nice to have

• Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or Zachman.
