AI Data Engineer

Location: Singapore (City), Singapore; on-site. This is a 3-year fixed-term contract open only to Singapore citizens or permanent residents.

What you will do

• Design, build, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot data pipelines for AI, analytics, and automation solutions.
• Ingest, transform, and deliver data from enterprise systems, files, databases, APIs, cloud platforms, and approved data platforms.
• Develop ETL/ELT processes, connectors, APIs, and data services using Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Power Platform, and related cloud services.
• Implement data quality monitoring, error handling, lineage, auditability, modelling, documentation, and metadata practices.
• Prepare feature, training, evaluation, and production datasets for machine learning and AI solution development.
• Apply access control, privacy, security, governance, architectural, operational, handover, and support standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Data/AI, or a related field.
• 5+ years of working experience designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines or data integrations.
• Strong SQL and Python/PySpark skills for data processing, transformation, and automation.
• Experience supporting AI/ML, analytics, or automation solutions with reliable data inputs.
• Experience with ETL/ELT, data modelling, data quality, metadata management, and integrations across enterprise systems, APIs, files, and databases.
• Familiarity with security, privacy, and data governance requirements.
• Experience working in agile or collaborative technical delivery environments, including CI/CD and Git-based deployment workflows.
• Hands-on experience contributing to AI, analytics, automation, or data platform initiatives through data engineering, integration, and technical delivery.
• Experience with Microsoft Fabric or Databricks using medallion architecture; knowledge of dimensional and normalized data models and federated versus centralized data platform design.
• Strong troubleshooting skills focused on root-cause resolution. Formal people-management experience is not required; collaborative project and agile delivery exposure is expected.

Nice to have

• Microsoft certifications.
• Experience with Copilot 365, Copilot Studio, GitHub Copilot, or Azure data services.
