Director IS Transfer Agency and Workflow Systems Development (AI)

Location: Flexible hybrid schedule in Toronto at 483 Bay Street, moving to the Mississauga office at 3 Robert Speck Parkway in approximately late 2026. Current work authorization for Canada is required.

What you will do

• Lead managers and scrum teams responsible for developing, modernizing, and supporting transfer agency systems including AXIS and NEXUS.
• Oversee supporting workflow applications and continuous improvements to development and production support processes.
• Develop department strategies, technology roadmaps, and process improvement plans, and track progress against KPIs.
• Incorporate AI, automation, and emerging technologies to improve efficiency, scalability, decision-making, and client servicing.
• Manage budgets, resourcing capacity, vendor relationships, project delivery, production incidents, and expedited requests.
• Partner with Information Systems leaders and business stakeholders to align technology services with business goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent working experience.
• 10+ years of operational experience in Transfer Agency and/or Workflows.
• 5+ years of leadership experience in IT or an equivalent operations role.
• Strong financial industry knowledge, particularly Transfer Agency services.
• Experience with development methodologies and the software development life cycle.
• Strong understanding of automation, DevOps, AI in the SDLC, strategic planning, team leadership, and stakeholder communication.

• Experience in the mutual fund industry.
• Experience with FundServ.
